Job Description:

Acero Precision is a leading, global OEM Manufacturer of precision machined components. We specialize in the manufacturing and assembly of complex, close tolerance products. Our range of clients includes the Medical Device, Motorsport, and Analytical Industries. Acero Precision's new headquarters is a brand new state-of-the-art 80,000+ square foot manufacturing facility located in West Chester, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia.    

In order to maintain our growth and continue serving our customers with excellent service, our Recruiting Team searches for the best and brightest in their field. Currently, we are seeking a Custodian for the housekeeping/janitorial tasks which include all parts of the manufacturing facility. The janitorial crew works directly for the Maintenance Manager to plan jobs and coordinate team activities, but will act autonomously on routine tasks and selected assigned projects.

This position requires strict confidentiality. Access to company information will not be discussed with anyone inside or outside the company.

Job Responsibilities:

Daily operations include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning and housekeeping equipment used by others, such as shop vacuums and other tools, should be kept clean, stored properly, and ready for use at all times.
  • Special cleaning procedures, such as those used in the QC Office and the reception areas.
  • Work benches, storage systems, and office fixtures will undergo periodic cleaning and inspection according to instructions from the Maintenance Manager.
  • Portable equipment such as pallet jacks, tooling carts, hand trucks, and shop vacuums must be kept clean, inspected periodically, and kept in good working order.
  • Manufacturing activities that produce a variety of scrap and waste products, such as metal chips and coolants/lubricants, which must be collected and disposed of properly
  • Working with the maintenance manager, housekeeping/janitorial personnel will assist in cleaning machinery and equipment during maintenance or repair projects.
  • Storage, delivery, and filtration systems for coolants, lubricants, and a variety of raw materials, must be kept clean and ready to serve the needs of manufacturing activities. Activities in these areas will be assigned and directed by the maintenance manager.

Experience and Skills:


  • Basic janitorial skills and experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • A professional attitude and approach, including punctuality, effort, and pride in a job done well done.
  • Strong commitment to detail and error-free performance
  • Have a mechanical aptitude (specific to manufacturing floor employees)
  • Extremely intuitive with problem solving and resolutions
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi task
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, both alone and in teams
  • Excellent verbal skills
