The Fabrication/Restoration Expert will be responsible for the fabrication of various components, repair and maintenance of CNC manufacturing equipment, and is someone who can visualize an idea and develop a working model to fabricate unusual or very special equipment. You must have a proven record of safe, reliable, and effective work methodologies.

Experience and Skills:


  • Minimum of 3+ years of excellent performance in the fabrication/restoration field of CNC machine fabrication and maintenance
  • Machine (fabrication, and repair) skills specific to CNC machining
  • The ability to perform a full spectrum of fabrication tasks at a hi-performance level
  • Ability to use and maintain basic shop equipment (i.e. mills, lathes, tubing benders, shears, plasma cutters, band saws, cold saws).
  • Visualize an idea and develop a working model to fabricate unusual or very special equipment.
  • Understanding of CNC machine mechanical systems with the ability and versatility to perform necessary work to build, install, and/or test fit parts
  • Extraordinary fabrication and welding skills (mig, tig, stick)
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Computer skills, coupled with a basic understanding of networking and operating systems as related to control systems
  • Ability to work from drawings and follow written procedures
  • Read and interpret technical shop manuals, manufacturers' specifications, and wiring schematics pertaining to systems in order to design and install special equipment
  • Follow detailed oral and written instructions in the fabrication and installation / repair of requested equipment
  • Monitor inventories, order parts and supplies, and write reports
  • Communicate ideas to shop personnel regarding the design and installation of equipment modifications
  • Knowledge of the characteristics and properties of various metals
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Strong commitment to detail and error-free performance
