We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Marketing Manager to build our Marketing Department from the ground up and develop strategies that promote the dynamism, excellence and forward thinking of our motivated team that is the foundation of Altus Spine.

The Marketing Manager will be required to perform various tasks for several departments within Altus Spine to include but not limited to:

  • Complete marketing and business development strategies
  • Implementing/maintaining social media and updating design & content of company website
  • Coordinate trade shows and develop guides and brochures for customers
  • Responsible for customer account management and new customer onboarding.


Daily operations are divided into four areas:

 Marketing & Business Development

  • Develop social media strategy to broaden Altus Spine market presence and brand awareness using platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Vumendi
  • Press Releases at a minimum quarterly, target 6 per year
  • Maintain and update Altus Spine website to include information about new products, events, and company news
  • Plan, coordinate and execute trade show exhibitions, cadaver labs, social events, surgeon design meetings and other events to promote Altus Spine
  • Create technique guides, product literature, brochures, sales binders and all sales support information; request feedback from consultants for improvements
  • Assist Sales and Engineering management in creating and delivering sales, surgeon, and management presentations
  • Develop high end swag for presentation to key accounts

 Sales Support

  • Responsible for monthly check-ins and documentation with Altus Spine strategic accounts to increase communication and flow of ideas in CRM
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Work on Hospital Approvals as a primary responsibility – documenting all efforts in this regard and deploy assets to achieve approval
  • Document in the database a full list of current Hospital Approvals and pending sites
  • Lead customer onboarding process, which includes: attending trial cases, reviewing surgery details, doctor preferences, product offerings and techniques
  • Oversee Altus CRM and maintenance of up-to-date sales, events, contacts, follow-ups and prospect management
  • Introduce solutions leveraging software and technology to support outside sales representatives’ effectiveness and product knowledge
  • Touch base with each and every NASS contact – document opportunities in CRM
  • When appropriate attend first cases for new clients and Distributors – ensure a smooth first Altus experience

 ERP, CRM and Data Management

  • Implement CRM software, entailing: system development, administration, and training
  • Train all staff on the use of CRM and be the Altus “guru’ with this software
  • Develop and implement new programs such as ‘leasing’. Take the lead and document this process

 Clinical Research and Project Management

  • Conduct post market surveillance of newly released products.  Prepare and evaluate feedback to be presented in coordination with Quality to Executive Management.
  • Conduct market analysis by each product segment to identify new product offerings and line extensions; perform SWOT analysis of current Altus portfolio to compare with competitors
  • Partner with Engineering Team to create and manage Project Plans, which include: defining objectives, gathering feedback, documenting assumptions, decisions, inputs, specifications; maintaining alignment between project inputs and deliverables, and facilitating communication to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Operations departments to source products through the Altus supply chain


Experience and Skills:



  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or biomedical degree with a focus in project management, or equivalent
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills, attention to project detail and the development of alternative plans to ensure satisfactory delivery of supplies, material and equipment in accordance with contract terms
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and CRM preferably Podio
  • Open-minded attitude toward performing a variety of tasks to assist with the day-to-day functions of the company, Executive Staff and CEO.
  • The ability to cover cases and provide support after training as required
  • Five (5) Years Experience in Medical Device  or Orthopedic marketing
